Khurrum Shakir is a creative, strategic minded entrepreneur with experience in business development, marketing, finance, operations and general management. His 15+ years of professional experience has included ecommerce, business development, finance, portfolio management, growing a company and negotiating its buyout for a profit. His vision for Carsquare is based on his combined experience in Internet-based commerce, strategic partnership creation & management and product development. He has managed projects and strategic partnerships for GrabMedia, AOL and has held finance and operational roles with Trilegiant and GE Corporate Financial Services. He is a graduate of the University of New Haven.
Hassan has 10 years of experience in designing, architecting and developing enterprise business applications in an e-commerce and client-server solutions. His technical expertise is based on Microsoft Technologies such as the .NET Framework and Microsoft SQL Server. Hassan is a graduate of La Roche College in Pittsburg with Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and Engineering. Currently, he’s pursuing his masters degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Management Information Technology.
Scott M. Cotter
Chief Financial Officer
Scott Cotter oversees the financial concerns of Carsquare including financial reporting, cash flow management, financial planning, and financial risk analysis. As Vice President with Evergreen Advisors his responsibilities include providing accounting and financial management consulting services to a diverse portfolio of clients in the information technology arena. Scott has significant experience in strategic financial planning and management of corporate finance and accounting functions. He often works closely with senior management, boards of directors and shareholders. Scott served as Chief Financial Officer of Gingrich Group, LLC for seven years where he oversaw all corporate accounting, financial reporting, strategic and financial planning, and treasury functions. Additionally, Scott spent 10 years in senior finance and accounting roles with company’s ranging from a start-up technology developer to a multi-billion dollar publicly traded national health care provider.
Scott earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Business Administration from the Merrick School of Business at the University of Baltimore, and served in the United States Marine Corps.
Ronald Fraser is experienced in systems engineering and systems administration. He has a BS in Information Technology and a Masters in Information Systems coupled with 15 years professional experience in both large and small corporate environments. As a former member of the Univision Communications management team, Ronald played an instrumental role in the sale of Univision Music focusing on collaborating with IT teams from both companies and leading the Univision Music IT division through the sale.
Vice President of Business Development
Phil Howard has over 17 years of experience working in the financial services industry. He’s held positions with American Skandia in Sales, Operations and Key Accounts when the company was thriving with product innovation and leading the industry in variable annuity sales. Phil also spent 12 years with AXA Equitable’s wholesale division working in an operational capacity to help the company increase sales at record levels and helped improve service standards, which led to a better customer experience. Phil received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT.
CMO & Interim CTO
Mikah epitomizes the born marketer, technologist and entrepreneur; it is his raison d'être. In his fifteen plus year career in the private sector Mikah has held a variety of senior leadership roles in between his entrepreneurial ventures. Most recently Mikah held the role of Vice President of Marketing at LEVICK a leading public relations agency where he led an award-winning rebranding effort. Prior to LEVICK Mikah served as a Solution Architect and Senior Consultant at ePartners, where he led the development of customer relationship management programs for companies like Lockheed Martin and Raytheon that have received accolades and fueled growth.
In addition to the corporate leadership roles that Mikah has held, he has also launched several successful startups and jointly acquired a 20 person interactive agency with a colleague thus far in his career. Outside of his role at Carsquare, Mikah is an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University where he teaches a verity of courses graduate level courses in marketing and technology, and advisor to several DC area startups. Mikah holds several advanced degrees including an MBA with a focus in Economics and Strategy, MA in Communications Arts with a focus in Advertising and Public Relations, and an MS in Internet Marketing.
