Daihatsu

Daihatsu is Japan’s oldest car manufacturer with a reputation for making small size vehicles and off-road vehicles. The company was founded in 1907 with the name Hatsudoki Seize Co., Ltd, but changed its name to The Daihatsu Motor Co., LTD in 1951. They are headquartered in Osaka, Japan and conduct business under the slogan, “We make it Compact, innovation for Tomorrow”.” As of 1988 Toyota purchased controlling interest in Daihatsu Motor Ltd and continues to produce Daihatsu vehicles under the Toyota name in North America.
