Founded in South Korean, this automaker has emerged on the American market offering a line-up of vehicles that reflects consciousness of price, but also emphasizes technology and performance. The meaning of the word Kia comes from two parts; Ki means to come out a represents Asia. Kia was founded in 1944 and started out manufacturing steel tubing and bicycle parts, then shifted to building motorcycles in 1957 and by 1974 was manufacturing cars and trucks.
